Amazing Grace Space - Event proves a great success

Amazing Grace Space launch event on September 23-24 proved a great succes. Over 150 people came to see the unit which was in the car park of St Paul’s Church. Bishop Richard spoke on the Friday and said, “talking about working together is not the same as actually working together”. The church needs to work together to support the most vulnerable in our city. In the light of the recent murders in the city centre of Cardiff it is a great time to reflect on the amazing work done by Street pastors in towns and cities across Wales. Every year Cardiff Street Pastors have an annual event to highlight their work in the Capital city and to raise much needed funds for the work they do throughout the year. Koreans visit Wales to give thanks for the life of Robert Jermain Thomas

During this month (September 2016) and next (October) Wales will be visited by a number of Koreans coming to say thank you to Wales for sending them a missionary who was martyred for his faith, but who many Koreans see as the first seeds of the good news of Jesus coming to Korea. The man in question is Welshman Robert Jermain Thomas. He answered a call to ministry but, for him, it was to be the mission field. He went with the London Missionary Society to China. Record 271,000 attend Alpha course in 2015

A record number of people attended an Alpha course last year.Across around 9,000 churches, 271,000 took up invites from friends or churches to take part in the eleven week series.The course, which was created out of Holy Trinity Brompton, gives people a basic introduction to Christianity and an opportunity to come to faith.It includes food, a talk and discussion in small groups. Each year many young people from churches across Wales attend summer events organised by Soul Survivor. We find out what happened in Summer of 2016.... Churches told to be alert but not alarmed after priest’s murder

Church leaders have been told to remain vigilant following the murder in France of Fr Jacques Hamel this week.The Metropolitan Police have advised those in charge of churches and church projects to "remain alert, but not alarmed".The force made clear that there is no intelligence to suggest a similar attack in the UK, but said that this was a good opportunity for all to review their security plans.In a statement, the police said: "The police have been working with church leaders here in the UK to establish a communication network through which reassurance and guidance to the Christian community can…
