Offender Outreach Worker with Message Wales

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of The Message Trust’s activities within one of the region’s YOI’s or prisons in Wales. You would be responsible for coordinating projects and events, running Alpha courses, discipleship groups, structured detached youth work, overseeing volunteers and establishing ongoing positive relationships with young offenders.

Position would suit one person or a couple and is self-supporting.

Job function:
- Oversee and direct all the operational procedures of the Centre.
- Implement the strategic goals, aims and objectives of the Centre, giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of the Centre's vision, mission, strategy, goals, aims and objectives.
- Provide an effective financial management service to the Centre.
- With the chair, enable the Board to fulfil its governance function. 

  • Matumaini Rehabilitation Centre, Molo, Kenya brings a holistic approach to impact children and young people lives spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
  • Most of the children, who come from different backgrounds, have extensive disabilities and have suffered neglect and abandonment, and they have become outcasts, unwanted, stigmatized, malnourished and abused.
  • They need a safe place, a welcome environment, parental care to the orphans, mentoring and emotional support and access to education, medication, and access to a professionally trained physiotherapist and other hospital medical care.
  • They need to know the love and care of Jesus through the staff who work, play and pray with them as they live with them every day.

The St Madoc Centre - Trustees for the Charity

The St Madoc Centre is seeking to recruit one or more Trustees for the Charity. 

St Madoc is a Christian Residential Centre situated in 74 acres of glorious Gower on the edge of the village of Llanmadoc.There are currently seven Trustees. 

The Charity’s main objective is to provide a centre used for the development of youth and other groups from churches, clubs, schools, sporting associations, youth groups and other organisations operating through the application of Christian principles. 

During 2016 we hosted 120 Groups comprising: 

Churches (youth) 37, Churches (adult) 17, University 1, Sports 5, Community 8, Other adult 15, Schools and Colleges 37. 

These totalled 9,308 bed nights and some 700 additional day visitors. 

The Centre was completely rebuilt in 2008 and has modern bunk bed accommodation plus activity rooms a large kitchen and a sports hall. 

There is a Manager plus 4 full time and 2 part time staff plus volunteers. 

We have a strong Environmental focus and work with our partners A Rocha to sustain the flora and fauna on the site. 

The current Trustees believe that this is an important moment in God’s plan for the Centre and are seeking likeminded believers to share and work towards the vision.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to work at Hebron Hall Christian Centre, a registered charity.

In the summer of 2018, the current General Manager will retire and we are seeking to appoint a replacement, ideally beforehand. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the successful applicant will be a committed and practising evangelical Christian as Hebron Hall is first and foremost a Christian centre. The right person will also have experience in a similar role and/or have experience in business & management at a high level.

The work of Hebron Hall Christian Centre is varied with Bethel House, a 39 bed residential care home, a conference centre with accommodation which sleeps in total 143 guests, a large indoor heated swimming pool, indoor sports hall and room used for community activities and Kings Court which comprises 15 privately owned assisted living properties over which we keep a watching brief.

The work of Cardiff Street Pastors continues to go well and every Friday & Saturday night we have teams out in Cardiff City Centre that are able to help many vulnerable people. Here are some statistics taken from our reports for the last 3 months which is a summary of our actions whilst on patrol and do not contain all we do during our night:

Volunteering with the Hospital Chaplaincy - Newport

The chaplains in the Newport hospitals are looking for volunteers to support and complement their ministry to patients and their families. We are looking for people who have some pastoral experience, good listening skills and a friendly character who can spare a few hours each week to help in the Royal Gwent and St Woolos hospitals, primarily visiting patients and supporting them pastorally and spiritually through listing and talking. Some people prefer their voluntary work to be practical and they help around the office, with the staff Chill Out support sessions or bringing patients to services and taking them back to the wards. Training will provide guidance and direction for all facets of the work.
